This short-film marks Morghan’s debut as a film-maker, and was conceived, shot and edited in Amantea during the September 2023 Kino Guarimba Film Residency.
It is based on J.M. Synge’s one-act tragedy Riders to the Sea, which tells the story of a mother losing all of her sons to the sea. Being interested in socially engaged art and community inclusion, Morghan cast only locals for this adaptation.
