
MAUER was a two-part series of plays on the rise and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Bringing Germany’s history to an Irish stage, this piece is a cultural exchange, an exploration of what it means to perform someone else’s culture and an ode to both of my homes.

MAUER 89 is set in West Berlin in the 80s and tells the story of people losing themselves in secrets, lies and the hunt for closure.
MAUER61 premiered October 22nd 2021, and was based on the true story of Günter Litfin, the first person who tried to flee the GDR. In 2022, it went to the Irish Student Drama Awards and got nominated in the following categories: Best Director, Best Original Play, Best Ensemble, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Costume Design, Best Set Design.
